The Opposite 'French Heavy' CONTINUED

...And that's the other three done.

Damn, didn't managed to put up a post yesterday... and that's because the Internet's down for the whole day. Well, it WAS still available around 8AM and suddenly just died at around 11AM. So yes, only three hours of it before shit went primitive.

Was in the middle of uploading the fifth video to YouTube at that time, too...

Well, all that's past now. So now let's continue where we left off...

The AMX M4 49 is pretty good at ramming, too. Slow speed, but make sure to ram only straight-on from the front. This only applies to lightly armored vehicles. though. I've only put it to the test to an Artillery, soo...

Pretty long match, that was. At a certain point I thought we might not actually win it.

The tank also has quite a reasonably good gun depression, which means how low you can bring the gun down... if you're not familiar with World Of Tanks lingo.

Elevation is also plentiful, which means how high you can bring the gun up in this case.

Although it has quite the armor at the front, some guns can still punch through them with ease... which is what the next video has in store as some of the enemy tanks in the video managed to do.

Dat thumbnail though... just epic. Also, it seems like every thank that managed to penetrate through the frontal armor of the tank were Tank Destroyers... the others fall flat to do so, so they had to shoot the cupola instead to do damage.

And now it's time for the last video! I didn't do much in it, but still managed to rack up a lot of damage dealt... and also got a Confederate Badge outta it.

The only highlight of the video is that I earned One Mark of Excellence out of it, too. It's about 15 days since purchase and only eleven [that's 11] matches played before I earned it. That's how easy it is to play this vehicle...

Oh, and halfway through the videos I've added some extra decals on the tank... particularly the 'Pirate' wording on one of the side and a logo to match it well. Just that extra 'pazaas' to the tank.

Another new thing to mention: all the AMX M4 49 video bunch were optimized much better now, thus affecting every video that comes out after it. What's this 'optimization', you ask?

Well, the videos will be made and uploaded in 60 FPS. Plus they have a slight increase in quality, making the videos less blurry.

I guess that's all for this post. I honestly don't know when I'm gonna make another post as I'm busy with certain games at the moment. PADAY 2 is one example.

So I guess for this time, just relax 'till the next one appears... whenever I'm gonna post one, that is. See ya...

The Opposite 'French Heavy'

Looks like I'm running out of time, so I'm gonna post this regardless.

Yes, it means today's time is running out. Bad Internet connections make for some shitty upload times...

Anyways, I'm only managed to get three videos uploaded to YouTube as of now. All that hours and this is the result... sigh

But enough complaints. Today's post is focused on a tank that's been around for about a couple months, so it's still quite a new addition. The tank is none other than the AMX M4 49, the Tier VIII [or eight] Premium French Heavy Tank that truly brings the 'Heavy' in Heavy Tanks.

The FIRST French Heavy Tank.

This tank came with a unique 'Liberte' version which is all painted in the colors of the French flag, but I chose the 'Non-Camo' version instead. I prefer to add my own camouflages for the three different 'biomes' [or weather]... and I never liked the paint scheme.

The painted versions are just... ugly.

This goes for every other pre-painted tank, none of them are nice to look at... at least to me, though.

Anyways, as from the title of the post, this tank is different than all the other French Heavy Tanks in the game. What is it? Well, it has armor... and not like one small highly armored strip, no no... It's full-on thick armor, from the front at least.

Well then, now's time to stop talking about tank details and onto some replays next!

From the replay above you can clearly see that the armor is definitely reliable. But the quite large cupola is a prominent weakspot as it's lightly armored, and that even light tanks can penetrate it with ease, too.

With all that armor you'll be able to shrug off small caliber tank shells and even big ones with a lil' bit of angling knowledge. But the front of the tank still has another weakspot though: the front 'shoulders'.

This is because they work pretty much like a pike-nose design: over angling makes them weaker. But unlike many Russian pike-nosed tanks, the AMX M4 49 has that cupola weakspot. So when using the tank, you'll have to not only always show your front to the enemy and avoid over angling, but you'll also have to constantly keep 'fidgeting' [A.K.A keep moving back and forth, not keeping still].

The next video shows how sturdy this tank is when fighting enemies, and also it's glaring weaknesses.

The original French Heavy Tanks are designed for mobility, so they sacrifice armor for that. This new addition however does the opposite: sacrifice mobility for armor.

It's quite sluggish, probably worse than the Chinese Heavy Tanks. Although it has armor, it's only at the front of the tank that receives it. The areas other than the front are very poorly armored, comparable to that of original French Heavy Tank armor standards.

This means you must never show anything other than the front, ever. High Explosive will mess this vehicle up really good, as what the next video shows when it received a direct hit by an Artillery shell to the weak back.

Yeesh, that massive health loss. And it's not even an Armor Piercing Round, either.

So I guess this tank is still typical French Tank after all, when given the chance to strike at it's sides and rear.

Well, that's all for this post. Anymore and it might be tomorrow already. I still have another 3 more videos to go through, and they will be up later instead... and that later is of course on Monday.

...and that's all for today. See ya'll next post...

-2017-

It's 2017 already... hope this year's better than the last...

And what better way to start off the first day of the year with some posts... except that I'm still recording, editing and uploading the World Of Tanks videos. So far only one video's done and is uploading to YouTube now, so there's still quite a lot more to go through...

...about another 5 to be exact. Yes, FIVE... so totaling up to 6.

Dunno when it'll all be done, but it's definitely gonna take quite some hours. So until then just chill and relax while I get them done.

Interrupted

Seems like there's no end to interruptions from this workplace...

Goddamn, so much for the Tuesday and Friday day-offs... and here's a little rant on what's been going down this last few days and the reason for the lack of promised posts for Tuesday: sudden work calls.

sigh... can't even get some day-offs in peace.

The two day-offs that I've gotten [and applied AND approved] for Tuesday and Friday were cancelled, and got an urgent notice to get to work early for Tuesday... after that, I've been there working my ass off... and that also includes today [Saturday] as well.

Must'a been the New Year/Christmas shenanigans... holidays = more peeps to handle...

Well, at least they gave me back the approved day-offs... so not all's lost. Plus, I got another two days, one for the work and another for the weekend stay.

Gonna apply them this coming week, plus some leave I have left and that'll be the whole week gone... and also next-next week's Monday as well.

Still haven't forgotten the videos, though. I will get on them soon.

Now, I'm gonna go to bed... tired and just reached home about an hour ago from work, plus it's already 12:22 AM here. So see ya'll next post instead.

Oh, and a Happy New Year to 2017. Hopefully, things will be better this year than the last...

Dark Days

Got back from work, then this shit has to happen...

Hello, everyone. Sorry about the lack of posts during the weekends, and the only thing I can say was that my computer busted itself the moment I got back last Friday. Been trying to fix every single problem as best I can...

...it kinda works okay now, but there's still some problems that even I can't fix.

The problem that I can't fix is the damn Ethernet port not working right. Did some research and turns out the Ethernet Controller Card suffered some physical damage... guess it's old age or heat problems. So now I'm stuck to using goddamned WiFi again... sigh

Already have bought a little something to help with that, and it's an Ethernet Adapter plugged in through the USB Port. Seems neat as I don't have to place my ol' computer under repairs for such small matters.

Plus, they'll charge you a hell lot more than just buying an alternative.

Anyways, placed an order and now just have to wait for it to arrive... about two weeks later. The problem isn't that serious so no rush needed.

Aaannd that's what happened during Saturday and Sunday. This computer's still going strong even after random falling objects from other siblings hit it...

Hang on... it's Monday here! How are you still at home and not at work?!

Well, calm down... Christmas was on Sunday, and so the next day is immediately a Public Holiday. Oh, and I've received some day-offs covering this Tuesday and Friday... so there's that.

Now that's outta the way, it's time to talk about the upcoming World Of Tanks video. Already made up my mind on which of the next bunch I should pick, and it's gonna be quite large... but not by much, just only six videos so it's only one more extra than the 110 bunch.

This... is gonna take some time. What tank is it? Well, the only clue I can give ya is this: it's a fairly new tank, and it performs the exact opposite as how the rest of the Heavy Tanks in it's nation.

Hell, that's two hints... but whatever. I have videos to record and upload now, so I'll post again once they are done... in the meantime, stay tuned.

Heads up: the next post might not even be up today...

China's "IS-3"

Well... now that those 5 videos are uploaded already, I can get on with the post.

Yep, finally after soo many hours... they are uploaded to YouTube. Time to get on with the post.

So continuing from my last post... have you guessed what tank it is? Well, the title's a big giveaway already actually... It's the 110, the Tier VIII [or eight] Heavy Tank.

Some say that it's much better than the IS-3 in terms of armor.

Yes, it's armor is actually better than the IS-3... at least from the front. It doesn't have the spaced side armor or very low-profile cupolas that tank had too...

Okay, before I drag on too much, it's time for the videos... since there's about 5 [FIVE] of them.

Now, onto the next one... Lost during this match, and that arty though...

In the next video, I had to face an enemy 110... Managed to kill him in the most cheap way.

There's nothing special in the next video, though. Just an average battle... but did managed to pull an epic shot towards an enemy IS-3 to it's tiny as-hell cupola.

...And now, the final replay. Another loss, but did really well in blocking incoming damage... got it piled up to 6000 DAMAGE BLOCKED. Normally this kind of numbers are seen on end-tier Heavy Tanks like the Maus for example...

...ironic since my Maus has never blocked up to 6000 damage before.

...Aaannnd that's all the videos placed in this post. Now, about the tank...

The 110 is pretty much a modified IS-2... or more specifically a modified IS-2U. The tank used a turret similar to the T-10, so that means it's a combination of Tier VIII [or eight] and Tier IX parts.

The 110's gun is also pretty good... rapid fire and high penetration, although the damage output might make some players not want to have the tank.

Pretty straightforward to play this tank: when engaging enemies, make sure to face the tank straight-on to them. If you're not straight-on, the pike nose armor will get very weak... even if it's just a bit off.

This is because unlike the IS-3, the 110 has a much more higher profile. The sloping and angling on the pike nose armor on the IS-3 is more forgiving to it's player as it's much more lower and hence, it's angle is less steep.

Ahh... the epitome of "Russian Bias"...

It's just like the 113/112 Heavy Tank compared against the 121 Medium Tank. but only these tanks have different frontal plate angles... 68 degrees for the 113/112 which is more superior than the 121.

The IS-3 and 110's comparison is on it's pike nose steepness, instead.

Anyways, the 110 also has a number of weakspots as well. The cupolas are a dead giveaway, and the lower frontal plate is also another one. Then there's the side armor... you can't angle too much in this tank, period.

The tank is also pretty vulnerable against High Explosive ammo as HE isn't affected by armor angle values... and this tank has only 120mm thickest on the hull... so that's where you would wanna shoot them when you are using those tanks with Howitzers [or 'Derp' guns/tanks is what players normally call them].

Shooting HE at the turret will result in lesser damage instead as the front of the 110's upgraded turret has about 201mm of armor.

To me, I prefer the 110 over the IS-3. I just prefer a faster firing and overall more accurate gun. Less damage, yes... but it's still a beast when used right.

Well, I guess that's all that has to be done now in this post. This is the last post, and will only get to come back to the usual next weekend.

Y'know, work and shizz...

What will be next week's post and video batch? Haven't decided yet, but when the time comes it'll be ready. So stay tuned for next week's update. See ya...

Upcoming Video Batch

Hey... guess who's back?

I've decided on which World Of Tanks vehicle replay I should record, but there's about 5... yes, FIVE of them. Not a problem for me, but it's gonna take some time to get them all up to YouTube.

This particular tank was chosen as it was the next smallest bulk I have [after the Maus replays]... the others stack up to 9 and 10 respectfully. [China Heavy Tank and German Heavy Tank]

There was no other smaller ones... 5 is the smallest I can find, then the one other tank has 6 replays.

I do have some single tank replays lying around, but I'd rather get these old replays uploaded and posted first... don't want to miss the chance to place them up.

So yeah... what's the vehicle? Well, it's a Tier VIII [or eight], and it's a Heavy Tank. It hails from the Chinese Tech Tree and I have mentioned about the tank several times in older posts...

...should be easy enough to guess what tank it is.

Well, I guess that's enough time wasted... time to get back to the works. Will post again when they are done.
