Metal Saga Adventures 4

Time for today's "Metal Saga Adventures" post.

In the last playthrough, the Hunter [Gary] got tag-teamed by the enemies and is now dead. Kiriya is left alone but managed to recruit a fellow dog party member... and they both continued to explore the whole BioGenetics Lab. Time to continue from where we left off yesterday...

So right after the rest of the crew [with a dead party member, of course] left the BioGenetics Lab and eavesdropped on Connie and Clive's conversation, Kiriya quickly head towards his vehicle and gets ready to head towards Junkyard via teleportation... but remotely sends Gary's "Wiesel 1A1" there first before doing so.

Once in town, Kiriya goes towards the "Scrap Shop" to trade-in broken armor. [or in-game terms, 'protectors'] But first, he has to remove the broken ones he has on him... and the one on Gary.

Protector removed.

I don't know about you, but removing armor off a corpse can be quite... difficult depending on varying 'circumstances'...

Anyways, once that's done, it's time to show everyone you know that you're dead! What could go wrong, right?!

Headed down the town saloon first. Jack seemed to be rather calm about his friend's son being dead. Maybe he knows about the machine Dr. Mortem operates?

Jack 'told' Gary that it would be best if he did not "go home in that condition"... and to not "let Rachel see you like that, either"... makes you think what would happen IF we were to ignore the advice he gave us...

Tempting to do what he asked you NOT to...

And off we go to see Rachel! She doesn't believe that Gary is dead... but she asking Kiriya whether it was a joke only to get the "three-dot reply" from Bernie. What happened next was quite funny that I had to activate the conversation another time, just 'cause...

Next was Nina, the Hunter's mother... seems quite cruel to let the mom see her son dead, but I wanna see the reactions from the people he knows.

After that was the Hunter's little sister; Emily, which is probably the best reaction I've seen, period.

I won't spoil that part though... just, badass.

Anyways... after all that fooling around, it was time the bring the kid back. Off to Dr. Mortem's place! Again! A lil' jolt and back from the dead, he is!

"This will sting a little!"

Went out of the church to check a little something nearby, and indeed it got updated...

Hmm... maybe a coincidence as there's another "Gary"?

Yeah... I don't even know. Well, now is just a matter of doing the usual things in an RPG when you enter a town; sell crap, store crap, etc...

Then it's time to get Gary his ride back and go to East Zero. Before entering the town, they managed to pick up an "Old Coin"... it doesn't do much besides being a way to skip turns by using it in battles.

After a little trip to the "Item Assembly" area, it's off for my buying and selling! Then the team is now rolling out to head towards Beldaire. Encountered some "Blueberry Army" Jeeps that look like the American-made Humvee [military version].

Selected a picture of one that resembles the in-game version.

They weren't that tough, so it was rather easy to handle them. There were only two of them, though.

Crossed a rather small bridge and used the Mine Detector to find an AK-47 hidden around the area, then continue travelling to Beldaire. Once there, the team then talks to McKinley for some town info before doing the ol' "buyin', sellin' and looting".

After that I've decided to modify the "Wiesel 1A1" by changing the mounting of the tank, and now it will use the missile pod instead of the tank gun. The "Hanomag" now gets a new tank gun for more firepower.

The team then made a quick stop to the Hunter's Office for some Outlaw info. Three Outlaws; the Bomber Prince, Tankasaurus and the Commander of the Blueberry Army; Colonel Blueberry.

Then they stopped by to see a fellow old man near the Beldaire Mansion. Seems to be a "Master", an NPC in the game that helps you to learn new skills and also lets you 'forget' skills that you don't want anymore. Each character can have up to six skills at a time only.

After some quick learning and forgetting, it's time to head in the Beldaire Mansion's "basement". Went to see some the "trophy room", which is Rosa's vehicle collection. Quite a collection... you got such classics as the KV-2, IS-3 and the infamous Tiger...

There are also three empty vehicle slots. One is owned by Rosa's little brother Carl which holds his personal vehicle the "Panther".

"Panzer V" Panther, G series.

Rosa's personal vehicle is the "Konigstiger", which if you are unfamiliar it's actually one of the many names the Tiger II had... which means "Royal Tiger".

"Panzer VI" Tiger II, with the "Henschel" turret.

As for the last slot, there is no description when activated... but I know what it is used for, just that it ain't right to spoil it to ya.

After that little tour, it's time to head inside Beldaire Mansion. There, we find their butler Sebastian at the entrance of the giant house. Then it's time for my favorite part: finding hidden stashes of "pocket money" of 1000Gs behind each painting that gives you the cash. There were three [if I'm not wrong] paintings that gives you the cash, up to 3000Gs.

Quite a lot of free goodies from this place... although some are quite useless and questionable like "rabbit tails".

Wheew... only one part of the playthrough, but already wrote this much! Meh, this ain't a test with word limits, so I don't really care... even though in the last post I've said that I'll hold back on the amount I type down.

Well, to late to backtrack on it now... and that'll be all for today's post, too. Come back tomorrow for another part of Metal Saga Adventures!
