An Old Series, Returned - Metal Saga Adventures 3

It's been about a year already since the last Metal Saga Adventures post...

Yep, that long. Anyways...

This post will be the same as the last one on March 6th 2016, as in there will be two videos as there wasn't a lot of pictures taken... only two this time, one from each video part... which even worse as it's less than the last Metal Saga Adventures post compared to this one.

Well... without anymore details to spare, let's get on with the videos.

After getting the tank gun for the Mosquito tankette, we head west for East Zero. The duo encountered some pesky 'dragonflies', wasps with large-caliber guns and other monstrosities... and managed to score an old World War II weapon near the river, the PPSH 41... before getting ambushed by three Misery Makers.

Those 'trucks' are based off the real world M270 MLRS [or Multiple Launch Rocket System] made in the 1980's. It has many different names and designations from the different countries it's been used in.

Here's a picture on how it looks like...

The ol' American 'Olive Drab' paint and star...

And this one is an x-ray diagram on the vehicle.

Now, getting back on track...

After that whole ordeal with the troublesome trucks, the duo pressed onwards to East Zero. Encountered some punks, but not too difficult to handle.

Eventually, they made it to the town. Did the usual resupply n' replenish, bought and sold some stuff and teleported to Newfolk for some quick paint-jobs for the tanks... then even teleported back to the Junkyard for a quick repair from Nina and stored some stuff at the local storage.

After that the team teleported back to Newfolk [again] to deal with a certain Outlaw near that area...

And now there's the fifth part of the whole playthrough...

Once the duo arrived at Newfolk, I didn't waste anymore time and quickly tried to find the second Outlaw in the game: Bugsy. Didn't take long to stumble upon the large automated Yellow Volkswagen, also didn't take that long to turn it into scrap metal.

Just like Junk Heap, it also drops junk that can only be obtained through defeating Outlaws. Here's a screenie of the post-battle stat screen.

Drops Special Junk, just like Junk Heap.

After that mess, the team went back to Junk Mountain to store some stuff and fix up the vehicles before moving back to East Zero. Went for a little exploring at the train station before setting out for a little more cash from killing punks and eventually heading towards an old mysterious building...

"BioGenetics Lab"... time to see what we can find in there...

Once inside, they found Connie and Clive talking about the building the're in before checking it out. Got into some trouble with the first encounter in the lab, specifically the damn Grenade Turrets... as Kiriya nearly kicked the bucket from their attacks.

There's a brightly-colored red door at the end of the corridor, but locked... so the team went down one floor for further explorations. Pretty much same enemies, but then they found a room which looks like a recreational area or a library with a flight of stairs leading up one floor... but ignored it and continued to explore the other rooms.

There was one more unexplored room, and this one had a flight of stair leading down one level. I decided to go down this one...

...and going down there leads to a sudden attack from a group of three green slimes and a Grenade Turret.

I find it funny how a creature with three "arms" can miss quite a lot... Gary almost died, and also almost killed the other two slimes before they managed to escape. Lucky bastards...

After the fight, the team continued with the exploration. Another red door... and locked, again. Only one other door in this room, now...

It looks like what seems to be a server room. Large black towers, but the consoles can't be interacted with. It seems to have a door at the other end of the room, though. Now this is definitely a security room... lots of monitors of all the cameras in the building, and two red lights on the console. They can be interacted, this time.

Pressed them both... I assume it would open both of the red doors Gary previously seen.

Decided to explore the first red door on this floor, before 'battle: round two!' started at the area where the previous fight occured. This time we got two instead of three slimes and a new monster: dogs with bazooka launchers strapped to their backs. This time, they concentrate all their attacks on one character: Gary.

Things didn't end well with him... A.K.A DEAD.

Didn't know why I still stayed to fight them even though severely outnumbered, maybe wanted to take revenge...

Left with only 9 HP before decided to make a break for it... rammed the wall while fleeing and now left with 3 HP...

Wanted to leave as it's getting real dangerous now, but also wanted to get what we came here for...

Thankfully, the area past the red door has a vending machine! Bought some healing items and a protector 'cause both of Gary and Kiriya's ones were broken... then it's off to the other red door.

Picked up some parts that I knew were around, fought some nuisances and continued past one of the doors for the real prize in the BioGenetics Lab: Dogs!

At first I wanted to pick my usual go-to man's best friend, "Shiba" the 'Shiba Inu' breed which is the active/aggressive dog class, but decided to pick "Bernie" the 'St. Bernard' which is the passive/support dog class... which is coincidentally a 'medic dog'.

Now with at least with another party member in the team, Kiriya can feel much safer exploring the rest of the building... which is only the last top floor. Usual stuff goes down; finding items and fighting enemies, and Bernie seems to be holding up well... aside from being afraid most of the time and Kiriya almost dying... again.

With the whole building explored, it was time to leave. During the team's exit from the building, Connie and Clive made another appearance again. They also knew about the dogs in the lab, but mostly aren't interested in doing anything about them as they "don't have time to raise them and clean up puppy messes", as Connie said before "moving to their next destination"... wherever that is.

I have no idea why I took this screenshot, as all this stuff has been around since last year March... but whatever, here it is.

Gary's in a "standing" coffin, and Bernie's the highest in level...

And that's all for this particular post! Maaan, I wrote quite a bunch for this post... I guess I forgot how to do the Metal Saga Adventures posts... looks like I gotta hold back starting the next one.

Well that's all for today. Next Metal Saga Adventures part tomorrow, so see you then...
